I'll be at the Battlefield show Friday..... Shut up and Fish, Please stop buy, we need to solve the world's problems...
I just booked reservations for the big show in Long Beach - and conned the wife into it as a "side trip" during our 1yr anniversary vacation. Can't wait! Yeah, I'm that good.
If I have to make another trip to Hagerstown this weekend, I'll try to check out the show, but I won't be able to make Friday. I'd still like to attend a show at the Venice, since that was where I attended my very first show as a young child. Still keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to go, though -- basically, the better my Mom is doing, the less likely I need to make the trip. Certainly nothing against the show.
My first wife and I spent our honeymoon in Long Beach. We actually left the hotel the day after the wedding for the show. Hey, I figured that she might as well learn from the start what she was in for.
As for my first wife, I know you were only kidding, but we had 24 wonderful years of collecting together before she passed. My current wife isn't a coin dealer (or collector either), but she DOES like shiny objects so she attends shows with me just to check out the gold jewelry that many dealers have.
I'm sorry for your loss. My wife doesn't collect either despite my every effort to get her interested, even getting her coins with horses on them. She will look at jewelry in a coin store but would rather stay home than attend.
