I didn't want to hijack the other thread, but I am curious if anyone knows of any resources for Coin Shows or Collector Clubs. Is there a website that lists them, or a publication? Any and all info is appreciated. Thank you.
Try here: http://www.money.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Home They list a lot, not all, shows in the US and also have a nice listing of coin clubs all accross the country. Hope it helps. Guy~

Might be the one I use. I typed in Illinois coin shows years ago and came up with a complete list of all the ones in Illinois. Made it a standard thing to call up each month. Probably could do this with every state. Same with coin clubs.
Probably. I live in Indiana about 15 miles from the Illinios line. Used to hit the Illlinois state show (I think it was) when they held it in Harvey. Ever been to the NOISE show? Heard it's good and hope to go someday.
There is a few other posts here right now about coin shows and Illinois shows is covered pretty much. I go to all of them if possible. I'm getting away from the Lamont, Illinos show though. To small and to hard to find even though I've been there many times. If your in Indiana, the best one for you would be the Countryside coin show on the second Sunday of each month. It is on the far South side about 66 hundred South on LaGrange Road and Joliet Road. For you a little trip, but free parking, free entrance, horrible coffee, decent food and not to expensive, very clean washrooms. If your there early front table has numerous magazines free. Usually about 80 or more dealers and at times about 100. So far every dealer I've ever talked to their has been great. Prices of coins makes it worth the trip. As you get to know the regular dealers you can get even better deals and occationally something free.
Oh yeah if you need instructions on how to get to Coutryside coin shows just go to Google, type in Illinois coin shows and when Countryside pops up, click on it.
Thanks Carl. An acquaintance of mine has gone there a few times. Will be while for me as I blew my budget on the 1876 20 Cent Piece and the 1884 3 Cent Nickel that I still owe on. I've actually been avoiding Chicago and the burbs like the plague. Too much construction. Hell, it's bad enough out here! clembo
