Yesterday I went to my fourth coin show looking for an American Gold Eagle. One guy had new ones for $705. The next guy had them for $710. I overheard the second guy trying to buy some gold with a check from a third dealer. The dealer said "No, I won't take a check because I don't know you". Anyway, we left and in the driveway my girlfriend said "If you don't buy an ounce of gold today, you never will". So we turned around and went back inside. I went to the dealer who would not take a check because I knew he must have had something the other guy wanted. Sure enough, he had a 1987 Gold Eagle ounce coin marked at $685. I offered $675 and he said $680. So now I have it. It is in fine shape too. Watching gold spot price dive bomb this morning!
