In a couple of weeks I will be driving thru Orlando and see that there is a show there where ICG will have a booth and take submissions. How does that work? Do they grade on site or do they go back to their shop and then the coins are sent to my home at a later date? I normally don't deal with ICG coins but NGC had an issue with the toning on 2 of these coins which I believe are NT and think they might holder in an ICG submission. I've already sent for the ICG kit which comes with 5 free gradings with 5 paid so it comes out to 6 bucks a coin plus postage so its a bargain, just have to figure out if I should mail them or take them to the show.

My experience with ICG was that they "accepted" the submissions which were then taken back to the shop for grading. The only thing saved was in the mailing costs TO ICG of the original submission. Everything else was the same.

I had pretty much the same experience with NGC. They took the coins at ths show but were not going to grade them on site. They were mailed to me after a couple of weeks or so. Overall the process was fairly painless.
