Today I went and killed some time at the local mall and to my luck, there was a coin show going on. After walking around and checking out the stuff I sat at a table and started going thru his stuff. I have to say I was at that table for more than a hour. several times I asked him if he would deal on his coins and he allways answered "I need whats on the coin-no deals." I went on looking and came to a old coin box that looked like it had not been opened in a while, as I went thru it I can upon a 1908 S indian cent in fine marked $35.00. I contuined to look thru and found a 1921 warker in very good that was marked $150.00. I pulled it out and placed it on the table with a 150 in cash. To my surprize he quickly looked at the price and took the cash and said thanks. I then took out 35. in cash and paid for the 1908 S and again he said thanks. I have to say that If I had the money I would have bought every coin he had in that old box. Funny thing was that for the first 50 min of going thru his stuff all the prices were in line untill I found the old box. Moral of today, when shopping for coins look for the old storage boxes!!!!!!!

I think the moral of the story is have spare $185 lying around :D otherwise the deal from the old boxes will fly away:D how much did you come out ahead by?

WOW! Now that is some good bargain hunting. Will need to take you with me when I go visit my dealer lol. Good finds. Pardon my ignorance, would this be considered cherrypicking? Not to up to date on some terms. Thanks.

Good deal mrh757. I attended a coin show myself today and came across a 1908-s IHC graded Fine. That dealer wanted $110. I couldnt even find an 09-s IHC. So I resorted to buying a 27-s SLQ graded Fine for $90 and a few Morgans.
