i got this at the coin show last weekend. sorry about the pics i have to use my qx-5. tell me what you think and a grade, the usual lol.
Wood grain coins are very hard to read. Then you put it on a 1922 that is know for weak strikes and it is doubly difficult. I think I am seeing rubs on the high points, so I would say this is AU (55 or 58). It might even go unc. Anyway, very nice coin.
Although it would be nice to see the whole side in one picture, you pictures are not the problem. It is the coin. Wood grained coins are difficult to read. You will find a thread here where everyone thought it was au/ms, but it got graded XF40. I have a 09-S I thought was VF, but it graded XF-45. When the coin has a variable coloring, it is hard to see just what is wear and what is the graining.
Wear wise it's lookin like AU to me, and is a nice attractive coin Jon, you know I like the woodgrain too. Has some of the softness of strike, but has "eye appeal" , I like it !!! Great pick-up !!
