Evening Ya'll, I had the chance to stop by "Silver Mountain Coins" In Rapid City today and scored a F15 1926-S Dime and an 1889 V-Nickel in G6 shape. Paid $15 for both of them. The owner let me get them at the old prices on the flips! $4 for the nickel and $11 for the dime. Bone
No rhyme or reason behind the buys, also got a 1902 Canada 5 Cents, a 1859 Canada penny, and a South Africa 1942 (no star, nice ship) penny.
Sounds like you found a good place to do business. I know when I go out of town and check out some shops I find some that want your business again and others who want to rip you off. But you got some good buys.
Ya'll? Not from the Chicago area that is for sure. Hey, that is a great price on that 26S Merc. Around here you couldn't touch it for that price. That is one of the coins I've got on my replace with a better one list but just can't afford the prices around here.
This is the kicker. He had a 31-D in VF and I just couldn't see spending $18.00 on that one!!! I only had $20.00 to spend BTW, the foregin coins I got for FREE!!! I get into his shop about 3-5 times per year. Bone
Here is a picture, just to show you the items. It's not close enough to make out accurate grades though. Bone
