My 10 year old niece is staying with my folks for a week and for years,I have been buying her proof sets and statehood quarters.Today,I asked if she would like to go with me to the coin store and she seeme to be excited by it.We arrived and I introduced her to all of the regulars and told her to look in the "junk" boxes to see if anything interested her.She ended up with an Austrian shilling,an Italian 5 lire and a 1916 George V penny. I bought a 2006 mint set and an ancient Greek coin from Pontos,Amisos.I really like the portrait of Helios on the front. When we got home,we cut up the mint sets(hehe) and put the coins in the respective Dansco albums.I do this every year and have a Mint subscription for 2 extra sets which were shipped out yesterday..We had FUN!
