Coin Shop Break-Ins Were Inside Jobs

    Ex-employee arrested in Reno coin shop thefts

    The ex-employee/suspect reportedly confessed to the crimes and items stolen in this week's burglary were recovered.

    I wonder if the ex-employee/suspect was a collector who got carried away being around all those coins or just another crackhead who saw an easy way to get money for more drugs.

    Yeah, I missed that obvious possibility. But not everyone that lives in Nevada is a gambler. We will never know his motive.

    Yeah, I think I have a few hundred to go through. I'm still trying to get caught up after being gone for 8 weeks.

    I wonder what kinnd of security system the shop has myself. No alarms?

    Possibly they did, but the person knew how to disarm them (he was an ex-employee... perhaps it didn't occur to anyone to change the code after he left).

    Yeah, I thought of that. Seems they paid for it.

    I don't have a key or a code for the shop I work in and that suits me just fine.
