So are these worth any premium, and how do I store them? Keep as is, put in a 2x2 or do I put them in a tube?

    I found in 54 $ of nickels:

    1946-s
    1946-d
    1947-s
    1947-s
    1947-d
    1949-d
    1952-s
    1955-d
    1957
    1958-d
    1958-d

So, here's to the pictures, grade and value would be appreciated, if there worth any premium at all.

I'm not seeing anything that really sticks out to me. The 46s is the lowest mintage you have with like 13.5mil. I've only found 3 of them in almost $5k in nickels. I keep all my pre-60's in tubes.

Woah, the 46s seems special then, I knew it had a low mintage. So Im planning on putting all in a tube besides 46s cause I think its slightly specialer than others with its mintage. 46s goes in a 2x2. Thanks for your reply.

Whats the 46s worth in its condition.

I might make a new thread asking value/condition of the coin. Ill do that now.

What you have are common nickels that typically aren't worth more than 1.5-2 times face value (if you can sell in bulk).

Personally, I keep all Jeffersons under ~50,000,000 mintage (except for War nickels - I keep all I find) and I store the average circulated keepers loose in a small tupperware container. Though, I put all the under 10,000,000 mintage nickels (ie 50-D, 39-S, 38-S, 49-S, etc) in 2x2s in my coin binder.

    Happy hunting!

I have found maybe a dozen or so of the 46-S in my searches - I bet I go through a lot more 5c coins than you do though. The only one that has continued to elude my clutches is the '50-D.

Not at all, lol. Do you coin roll hunt nickels much? I dont think so. Pre 1960's are always collectable. Lots can fetch x2 or even x3 pemiums after ebay fees on ebay.

Come back when you get 15c for each of those nickels (before fees, yet alone after), and then I'll believe you. As Rocky said, he was lucky with what he got, almost 2x. Almost. That's 9c each. There's a big difference.

Don't get me wrong, I still believe you should keep them. Just don't get your hopes up for selling, and don't make these false claims without doing your research.
