So I'm relatively new to collecting and hunting, and it's only been in the past couple of months I've been at the point where I look for errors. From what I've done so far, I feel as though for the most part I find more penny errors than I do for any other coin. Many of them are simple grease strikes and the like though, and with that being said, the two error coins I have found with the most eye appeal were a quarter (cud) and a nickel (nice clash). I really enjoy finding error coins that really "pop", and I was wondering what denomination you have had the best luck with. Thanks!
I find many more cent errors than nickels. I have only found 2-3 dimes and a couple of quarter errors.
IMHO....I have been cherry picking since the early 1970's when I was still in grade school! Allan Herbert was a god to me! I focused on nickels back then, but now since we have so many different quarters to look through, I would have to say that State and National Park Quarters are my favorites now that I am in my 50's! And...BTW, I DID get Allan's autograph ( in the early 2000's)in my copy of his error book I bought way back in the 1970's.
