I spent past half hour trying to capture this coins surfaces in detail. Mainly the texture of the fields around the rim. I am still not satisfied but these photos should do the job. For those hanging out this evening please describe what you see, and give your opinion on the die stage. Is it early and the dies were rusted. Cause it looks like it got hit with a sand blaster.
Is it a mid die stage, Or is it a late die stage?
And if so what details define your reasoning?

Looks like orange peel to me which I believe is from worn or late state dies.
