Is it at all possible to find a lawyer that is familiar with crimes related to stolen certified coins or at least familiar with certified coin collecting?? This afternoon, as I called around speaking to different lawyers it became increasingly difficult to explain about certified coins, who PCGS and NGC were, coin cert numbers, rarity of low pop certified coins, etc etc etc. I thought that it would be better to find a lawyer who has experience in crimes involving coin theft, or at least is a coin collector who is also a lawyer, so I can speak to the person without having to explain myself every other sentence. Any help is appreciated, thanks all. PS: I am on the east coast New Jersey area if that matters.
SanctionII started a thread a week or two ago on how many members on the PCGS boards were attorneys. It looks like it has been poofed, but there were several who replied before it disappeared. Maybe you could mention the need of an attorney in your thread there as well. And have some of them PM you. I don't think PGCS would frown on that, especially if PM's were used.
Call American Numismatic Association , PCGS, or NGC and ask ask customer service the question. ANA would be a good shot if you happen to be a member. Welcome to the Forum! Jim
