I was doing some cleaning recently. Came across a canvas bag with rolls of nickels. I noticed that the bag had a Limerick on it. I vaguly remember creating it. It was my first and only limerick if I recall.

Does anyone else add art or creativity, predictions, charts to their canvas bags? I do, but I am also an artist, and a little odd when it comes to coins.

Here is what was written on the bag:
    Nickel Limerick
There once was a fellow named Tom.
Who peeked at the dime, and said "small."
    Dear me, Jefferson
    Five cents, Five cents please.

Nice poem. Now you have me trying to think of one myself!

Isn't the rhyming scheme of a limerick AABBA? Nice poem, though.

No idea. I will have to look it up.

I am more of a Hiaku type.

    Nickels
    Memories and toys,
    Nickel and copper alloy,
Wow - two bucks a roll.

    Here is an AABBA

    CAC is Great
There is no need to hate
    If you don't agree
    Maybe one day you'll see
That there was no need to deliberate.

Simply attempting to enlighten is not hating.

No hate taken. Neat rhymn. Not as easy as it looks.

I am getting the idea that there might not be many other collectors on CoinTalk that do a creative response to their coins or storage bags. LOL

That's good. Now we need a PCGS version. (smiles)

    Just for you Sunflower.

    PCGS
    I send you my best
    Sometimes I get a bodybag
    It makes me very sad
And my coins are worth much less

A generic poem, not a limerick.

    Youthful and poised
    Sweet Morgan girl
    Skin fair
    Curls loose
    A ribbon graces she

    Outside field
    Round and reeded
    Her edges
    I must touch
    A bust of loveliness
    Soft and never rough

    Weightless
    My pockets see
The pretty girl that no longer
    Travels with me.

    Her value is up
    This is 90 percent sure
VAM, I most truely love you.
