Find the one you want----right-click on it and push save photo as.....save it on your computer than this do this...
Click the 'user cp' then 'Avatar' link, like you did before. When you get to that screen, look for the button called "Browse", and click there. It will give you a screen showing files on your hard drive. Just browse right in your hard drive there until you locate the file for your avatar. Highlight the avatar file, click open, then click the 'submit modifications' button, and it should be set within a few seconds.

not only so much tarnish, but prices many multiples of what the same untarnished coins would command, lol!

The book I picked up this week says that "toning is to silver what rust is to iron". Thanks for sharing speedy, some of those coins are pure gems.

That would be a great place to work IMHO---hey Cave Troll---now you can just go see them in person---I understand that they are right down from Heritage!

I think I heard someplace that one of the owners is pretty sick most of the time and it is all he can do to go to shows and such.
That may be wrong---its just in the back of my mind

Thanks Speedy for sharing that web page with us, me in particular. I just can't get enough of those toned coins. The colors are out of this world!

So many toned beauties, so little money to spend on them.

It would be nice if there were a few more choices ;)

It's just a pretty cool web page to see them all displayed like that.

Me too, I like that tarnish!

So what's the deal with these anyway? I cannot imagine that these (Anaconda's coins) are all naturally tar... er, toned, but the prices would indicate otherwise.

Or, is it ok to artificially tone coins, as long as there's a market?

    What's the deal?

I had found a thread on this forum with some helpful links to toning sites, but now cannot find.

I personally really like this colorful toning, and don't mind if it's natural or not.

I'll let a toning expert take this question---the coins they have are "real" tone---but how I don't know ;)

it is all naturally toned (and slabbed by PCGS/NGC to boot).

The owner of the business is an expert on recognizing naturally toned and artificially toned coins and he buys toned coins nationally. It is his specialty. Over the last few years he has bought and sold the coins you see. They are not all currently in his inventory, but they all were at one time.

As for recognizing AT'd coins, that is a skill that I am still working on.
