I'm partial to an EXCEL worksheet.....I track patients, nursing hours, coins, finances soldiers and more with them

For things like rolls and other groupings of coins that I don't want to list individually, I put a code number on the container or wrapper and reference it on the Excel spreadsheet.

I too use an Excel spread sheet. I started out with just listing complete sets in Whitman Albums. That was extensive due to anywhere from 3 to 10 Albums of many denominations. Example is 10 sets of Lincoln Cents. Then I slowly added pages for coins in 2x2's. After that I made a page or spreadsheet for Proof coin sets and another with Uncirc sets. I slowly realized I had numerous Excel spread sheets for each type of collection so I made another spread sheet to list all the spread sheets with coins. I keep all these on 2- 3 1/2" disc. 2 because I like a backup of everything. Small 3 ring binder, print out the spread sheets, punch holes and now it's a book that I update periodically.
