I am going through a can full of coins my dad gave me to off load on somebody and I know nothing about foriegn coins. What is this? it has a brass tarnish to it but the reeded edge looks silver. It is not magnetic.

Peru, KM#222, brass, 5.8-million mintage, valued in 2007 Krause 20th Century 34th Ed. at 15¢ F to $1.50 Unc. IMHO in that XF detail, corroded condition it belongs in a dealer's ten for a quarter junk bowl.

That's what I am afraid off most of this stuff is junk. And he think he is gonna get rich of this stuff. outta the whole can there is only a dozen coins I would even keep. Very fast come back and brutally honest. I think I will copy that and sent it over to dad. maybe then I can get him to take back this stuff as it is a waste of time. :(
