http://www.coinnews.net/2016/09/19/american-innovation-1-coins-proposed/ Just read this story. I hope it doesn't go through. Why do we want a 14 year $1 coin series that's not going to be very popular [emoji30] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well on one hand it could introduce new collectors to the hobby. On the other hand there will be a new thread on here every time one is released and the same people will argue about how much they suck or how much they don't suck and greatest coin of the century blah blah blah
just a note to whatever member of Congress should introduce such legislation for more $1 coins... Let's store the extras at your house...
I'm pretty sure members of congress believe the treasury is their house. Sorry, political-ish post. I'll shut up now
Gee, maybe the first innovation dollar will commemorate political correctness? How cool would that be?
I think any more $1 coin proposals need to include concurrent retirement of the $1 bill or they will never go anywhere.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Baltimore Branch is sitting on thousands of bags of $1 coins that no one wants or uses! Why are we printing more one dollar notes and talking about minting a new dollar coin to wearhouse?
Telling a Congressman you're going to store millions of dollars in cash at his house is going to discourage him???
