Been going an hour on the internet trying to find this common coin. Usually, I can figure these things out, but this one has my inexplicably stymied. Anyway, I realize this is a common low-value coin, but I'd appreciate the help!
Indeed it would ... working on that. From some digging, I believe it to be a modern Nepalese coin. Will try for better image.
Turns out the coin is a 1 rupee Nepalese coin from 1994 (after I figured the whole Nepalese numeral thing *and* the date adjustment -- it seems the date on the coin is 2051). Thanks for the prod, De Orc!
