Coin idenification

    I have never seen this type of coin(token) found in a roll of cents. Does anyone know what this is. Weights 2.4g, perhaps a memento form a visit to the mint. Thanks!

    It isn't a coin, it's a medallion that the Philadelphia mint included in a cellophane pack of uncirculated coins for an unspecified year.

    Looking at my sets, I see that token included first in 1984, then last in 1999. So that gives you a range for the date. I don't know if it can be narrowed further.
