I got this coin for 25 cents today, even my coin dealer was stumped on what it could be. What is it, also if you know, what is it worth. Also any ideas on when it's from? IMG_20141122_122332.jpg IMG_20141122_122341.jpg

It doesn't look like any coin produced by a government. Looks more like an old game token with the waffle fields. What is it made of?

My guess would be the same as above. Looks like an old checker set token or the top of an old cigar tube that's been around for years.

Judging by the size, it's a piece of play money... an old toy for the kids. Pieces such as this are collectable in their own right.

I'm not sure it is play money because it's not the size of any US coin execpt for a trime and most play money has a domination of some sort on it or a simliar design as a coin used in circulation, and most of the time it's the same size as coin used in circulation with some indicator of what it's trying to copy off of, such as an mimic indian head penny design in the same size as an indian head penny.
