HEY GUYS, JUST A THOUGHT, IS IT BETTER TO KEEP COINS IN CARDBOARD CASES OR THE HARD PLASTIC ONES? i WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ON THIS MATTER. THANKS.
Chevy, this is my personal opinion, but I am much happier with the "safety" of my coins in plastic, non-PVC containers, hard or soft. The trouble with the hard plastic containers are the costs, and frankly the plastic flips in a cigar box are just as safe. (BTW, if anyone needs cigar boxes to store their coins, let me know - it is one thing I have too many of). I don't trust cardboard 2x2s because of the staples. The containers seem to be OK for short term archival. Cris
Hey Chevy, Didn't we do this once already? Nice coin holders are very good for long term storage. 2x2's are better used for short term, and the ability to write on them. Staples are always a concern. For coins with low values, 2x2's fill that need. Unc's and Proof's should get the better holder.
