Coin Help?

    I would assume from the Kanji forms and symbology, as well as the dragons along the sides, that this would be from one of the Ancient Chinese Dynasties. No idea when though. Good luck in your research!

    If it's real, it's Chinese provincial-- Kirin (also spelled Jilin) province, under empire. 1880s-early 1900s. Looks like it could be 3 ch'ien (also called 3 mace in R.S.Yeoman's Modern World Coins)-- minted in 1884. Krause-Mishler number 918.

    I know it's hard to tell, but the second picture is upside down :)
