It seems to me frosty looking for some reason, Could it be the contrast by the photographer? Also it has a lot of issues with die errors. Looks like a Bugs Bunny 32s Washington Quarter. Inside the earlobe looks like a die chip. Finally, above the Eagles head I see a die crack? Just thought I throw this one out here tonight to learn a little about why this 32D is only graded Au 55 and is Frosty looking. http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.asp?auction=3447&lot=1369
While not perfect, I believe this a little closer to reality. Not the frost you may have been hoping for, but a very AUish look and not particularly nice or attractive IMO.
The high speed scanner they image with focused on the slab not the coin. Your frost is just blur to me.
Thanks Guys, you know TT has been known for their over exposer of sellers coins. It's a shame. I have had many blazing coins years ago sent to them and photo's weren't up to my standards. I complained and they told me my slabs were scratched/worn. LOL. Again thanks Tom and BooksB4
The reflection of some sort of white surface in the coin, possibly a white sheet of paper used intentionally for the photo, is just messing with you. Photos of this coin at NGC look normal... http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/index.aspx?CertNumber=456454-002
