Stay away from Key Date Coins run by Corey and Sandi Brower. My disabled husband purchased coins from them and lost thousands. They bought the rights to the SEGS name than slab the coins in their basement and sell them to trusting buyers on their auction platforms thinking they are buying legit graded coins. They used to sell coins graded by “USCG” than converted to SEGS. They even went to such lengths as to make a fake SEGS website with a UPS PO Box and phone number to Sandi herself to make it seem legitimate. They both have done time in federal Prison for mortgage fraud. They were real coins just all details or 4-5 grades lower than what was on the holder. They sell them for thousands so you think your getting a good deal. buying coins from companies is a gamble, most times you will do ok but sometimes you are on the losing end but there are some good coin buying companies out there you just got to research, ask questions and see what is good and what is not yes it takes time and effort but doing this will save you major issues down the road
Sorry you fell into this horrible trap, at least you learned a lesson, unfortunately the hard way (stick with the major 4 grading companies: PCGS, NGC, ANACS, ICG)
I don't believe that is a fake SEGS website and the phone number is the same one that is on the SEGS slabs and has been on them since 2003. I did know that Larry Briggs had sold the company but I didn't know who he had sold it to. And the website appears to be the same as it has been. I would suspect the website was transferred along with the rest of the company.
Exactly Conder, whois shows the domain dates back to 2003. There is a state business registration at the new address, etc.
