When collecting a full set of coins what folders do most of you prefer. I seen many people talk about the Dansco ones. I have some kind of folder for my state quarters, but I hate it because the coins always fall through and slide around inside the page. It has this plastic slip cover that slides in and out and you push the coin in and then slide the plastic slip cover back overtop. Any suggestions on some really good, reliable folders?

    Hi
you should have a slip cover on the bottom and top of your coin page. Your album should have come with both covers. what make of album is it, and dansco and intercept shield are the best albums out there

I use Whitman folders myself, for my Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, and Kennedy half collections. Dansco is about the best you can get in quality, if you want or need it... Whitman is a nice standby though if not dealing with especially old or valuable coins. Have had coins in these for almost 20 years and they keep well in them as long as the folders are kept in a reasonably dry place.

I use Whitman folders for low-value stuff I pull from circulation, just for the fun of it. Dansco is my choice for the small Morgan dollar collection of moderately valuable coins. Anything of real value or great condition I put into airtites.

I was actually just milling over this same question, when considering to buy the Dansco 7070 U.S. type album. For me it would make sense, as that's pretty much what I'd like to put together. Only thing is, I have some coins that cost $400+ each and it makes me nervous to put them in this type of album. I haven't looked at it close up so I'm not entirely sure how good it is.
