This is an interesting article about someone's attempt to create a fake 1909-S VDB by gluing the obverse half of a 1909-S cent to the reverse half of a VDB cent. Unfortunately, whoever did it didn't know that the 1909-S was actually a 1909 S/horizontal S. Should have used a cheaper coin. Full story here.
