I may have asked this years ago, but I couldn't find anything exactly in searches, so.... What are some good websites that you can use to organize your collection that have information on coins when you search them? I have mostly world coin interests as I see a couple that are US focused. It doesn't have to be for sharing with others although I might be ok with that, maybe. My collection isn't worth much, but I still would be a little scared to share with the internet so maybe this isn't a great idea. Do you have your collection entered into a database and do you feel comfortable sharing? I am aware of numista, but are there others like this? I actually really like numista but would love to compare. Thank you!
I really like NGC Collection Manager, but its not for everyone thats for sure. You should at least check it out, its free and works well for my needs. https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/CoinManager/csmember2.aspx Click get started. Has many fields, shown like a spreadsheet and you can filter and search them. Example fields: Certification Number Denomination Design Description FullGrade Grader Item Description Mint Mark Owner Comments Purchase Date Purchased From Realized Sale Date Sale Price Sold To Status Total Cost Unrealized Value Year Also supports automatically bringing in basic details for NGC and PCGS coins, photos, comments, etc. You can export reports, and inventory spreadsheets for use in Excel or other apps. Example of what it looks like and example of a few of the custom fields you could use (that I dont).
I just checked out the website. It seems you can use the online resources for free, but I may not have understood. Do you feel safe with the website generally? Thank you.
Well, its NGC, so yes, I trust them. They are in the top 2 TPG graders in terms of Size and reputation, the other being PCGS. https://www.ngccoin.com/
