Coin Collecting Memes!

Discussion in 'Coin Chat' started by Stripeythecrab, Mar 2, 2013.

  1. I thought it would be funny to create a couple of memes related to coin collecting. (Since we're all on the Internet here, I'm assuming you all know what memes are. I'm not trying to make you feel old, though...) If you have any ideas, feel free to make and share your own memes here!

Anyway, here are a few Bad Luck Brians and a Sudden Clarity Clarence to kick it off: :p

Yeah, but we got to buy silver coins at face and gold under $300, you should feel so good! :)

  7. Sorry... But, seeing as your mood is "curmudgeon" I won't take it personally! ;)

Oh... Sorry to you as well, John. But I'm not able to view the page for some reason. I "don't have permission to access the page" it says.

You have to join the general discussion group to access that forum - it's where all the fun is at.

Frankly, I don't care whether you "take it personally" or not - just please tell me what the H you are talking about.

  10. meme (n.) a cultural item that is transmitted by repetition in a manner analogous to the biological transmission of genes.

    more specifically:

I still buy silver coins at face - roll searching. I stopped buying gold when it hit $800, just got a wee bit o'erpriced for my pecuniary Scottish heart. Canna hae any complaints though, me thinks the leprechauns from across the sea hae been vedy vedy generous.

I had a Thai GF when gold was $300/Oz. She went to Thailand to visit her family so I gave her $2000 to buy me some nice 18K Thai gold chains (for me!). A week later I get a call from her saying she spent the $2000 on her family, but would buy the chains if I sent her another $2000.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

I hope you told her that you weren't sending another $2K, and more importantly, I hope you told her that you didn't want her back and to stay with her family.

You may notice that I started that story with..."I had a Thai GF...".

I stopped answering my phone, but she sent me a letter saying she cashed in the return ticket (that I bought) to help her family. I ignored the letter, but she came back, anyway...on the original ticket...go figure. :goof:
