club, association or organization i will contact a numismatic club which i left 25 years ago. hopefully some of the close members are still there.
I'll be very interested in an answer to this!! I'm in Queens, I know there's are clubs in Long Island. Are you in NY anchor?
I checked the ANA site and couldn't find anything. I don't remember the zip codes - that's actually the easiest way to search. You might want to try yourself. Go to www.money.org then click on clubs and then advanced search. ...
When I was young...many, many years ago...there was a coin club in a city 40 miles down the road. To my knowledge, there is now not a club within 300 miles of where I live. Wish there was.
If your in New York and you are seriously interested in Numismatics check out the American Numismatic Society ANS. They have KILLER library, and some fabulous collections.
conder101 beat me to the punch. Nope...not much here in NYC ....only the FOUNDING chapter of the ANS If your down town near the WTC, check out the Federal Reserve. There is a free (if you don't mind near body cavity search security) numismatic museum with THE 1933 Double Eagle on display....plus a neat history of coins and banknotes.
Just find one in your local area and go pay them a visit. Typically you will be welcomed with open arms
