I recently bought this strawberry token that has some white substance on it. I'm wondering what it is and how to remove it. Thanks.

It looks like aluminum oxide. You can’t clean that because it’s the metal in the token has become.

    I'd try some Brake fluid.
Wash it with dawn dish soap afterwards.

Let us know how it comes out. I have several aluminum coins I'd like to look better, but I am not aware of any way to do it without making the coins even more damaged than they are. If it were merely gunk on them, there are a number of safe solvents, but aluminum oxidizes so easily it almost always involves more than just gunk.

typically we don't clean coins here but paddyman98's advice is probably correct if you really want to clean it.
