What is the difference between Coin Chat and US Coins Forum, as far as posting content is concerned? I want to make sure I post my topics under the correct Forum. Please educate me on this.
US coins forum is only that. Coin chat can be about any coin from any country or any era. I find it helpful when discussing attributes of coins, when the US and many countries make them the same way.
Correct. That said, US coins can also be posted and discussed in Coin Chat just like any other coin. Coin Chat is basically a catch-all section, you can post about anything having to do with coins there - any coins. You can post about errors, varieties, medals, modern, medieval, ancients, tokens - you name it, if it has to do with numismatics you can post about it in Coin Chat. In all honesty, you really don't need to worry about which forum section you post in as it's not against any rules or anything. It's simply not a big deal. Different forum sections exist as a matter of convenience more than anything else. And because some folks only have an interest in specific subjects and don't care to read about anything else. In simple terms just pick whatever section seems to be the logical section that has to do with your coin, questions and or comments and post there. One exception to this would be the General Discussion section. That section is for discussing thing that have absolutely nothing to do with coins - and only for things that have nothing to do with coins ! But again, it's not like breaking the rules - there are no consequences in other words. If you do post about coins there, a mod will simply move that thread to the appropriate section.
??? am stumped on "Coin Chien"...the Chien part ??? ...not familiar...age/generation and just too square, I guess...no smartphone, no network TV, etc.
Well, it already is the cat forum since its the "Coin Chat Forum." It looks like the cats win unless the mods want to make some drastic changes. Chat = "cat" en français, as said above
