I've been thinking of getting a coin cabinet to kick-start my collection, was thinking about making my own as it would be alot cheaper. My idea was trying to find some old makeup/jewellery draws and buying some trays. Do you guys have coin cabinets ? If so did you make your own
Search Coin Talk for more on the subject. Not long ago we had a similar discussion. One consideration is to select materials properly to avoid damage to coins from fumes. Some woods are better than others; some adhesives; some fabrics. CNG recently sold a number of antique cabinets which brought good prices but still probably cost as much on top of that to ship.
