Should the mint really be producing certificates of authenticity (COAs) with its products? It seems the COA isn't really useful. If anyone can counterfeit a coin, they certainly will be able to counterfeit a COA to go along with it. The COAs don't contain any elements which make them hard to produce, such as a real seal or human signature. Furthermore, it's just one more thing of no aesthetic value which has to be preserved, as the trade seems to be making it more important to have these as part of the product if the mint distributed it originally. Before you know it, we'll be enclosing them in slabs! What do you think?
