    Hello, everyone, and welcome to the latest giveaway. This will be my 100th numbered giveaway on this site, so I thought some gold would be appropriate. The two gold coins here are tiny, but who's gonna disdain free old gold, right? ;)

    The prizes for this contest will be awarded in two separate drawings, each for a...

    Southern India: ca. 1700-1830 gold fanam
    Similar to the one shown in the picture.

    To enter: Tell us whether or not you have owned a gold coin before. If you have, you are eligible in one drawing. If you have not, you will be eligible in both drawings, doubling your chances to win (your single entry will count twice). Only one entry post per contestant, please.

    You may enter on someone else's behalf if you do not desire the prize for yourself. Simply state who you would like to receive it, should your entry win the drawing.

    The drawings will be held sometime on or after October 1, 2023, depending on my schedule. You may consider the contest open for entries until such time as I have posted the final result of the random drawing.

    Totally free: the contest is free of charge, open to everyone, with free worldwide shipping. The only obligation is that I ask that if you win, please post to this thread later, when you have received the prize, so that we'll know you got it (that helps me keep track).

    Note the instructions above. You must declare whether or not you have owned a gold coin before. This will divide all of our contestants between the "haves" and the “have nots".

    If you're a "have", you get a chance in one drawing (one chance to win). If you're a "have not", you get a chance in both drawings (two chances to win).

    Yes.

    My first one was an 1854 gold dollar. It had VF sharpness, but a weak date. I was in junior high school

    Since then I have owned many gold coins including the U.S., Great Britain, Russian, Ancient Roman and Colonial Spain.

    Put me in the I have gold jar.
    I still have the first gold coin I purchased.
    I usually have an eye on one in a watch list or a screenshot of one I'd like to acquire.
    One that I sold to a guy as his first gold coin.
    I'd like to have one of everything :p
    But, I don't have one of those...:D
