CM180915-023919001.jpg CM180915-023631008.jpg Possibly some doubling also.. I couldn't get a better photo of the D. I also forgot to get a photo of the whole obverse. I'll have to do that tomorrow I don't think the clip actually shows on the opposite side..

It wouldn't be a curved clip but a straight clip.
Hard to tell if it really is. Need the other pictures. Full Reverse also.. Meaning entire front and back.

I'm trying to upload a few other photos that I have. I accidentally posted this before the photos uploaded. the front of the coin will have to wait until later today once I'm home from work. I'm dealing with a bad WiFi connection at the moment. How does a straight clip happen?

When the sheet of metal used to punch out blanks is punched at the very edge of the sheet. It's not really clipped.. Just missing.

No tapering of the rim . . . PMD.

Agree... a clipped planchet going through the upsetting mill wouldn't create a rim

Welcome to CT. The pictures you have provided are very good, but like others have said, more are needed.

Someone used the groused to flatten a side when they were board imo

@lkw ... I figured out board - bored. But what did autocorupt corrupt groused for?

looks like a fine file did that.

take a metal (fingernail) file and the other edge of the quarter. Bet'cha it looks the same after some sanding.
