Clipped coin or PMD?

    Looks like PMD it's cut really straight and the clipped ones I'm familiar with are curved

    I agree with PMD, I can't see the blakesley effect.

    Post-mint damage...the coin was tampered with/damaged outside of the mint.

    Not all clips are curved. Some blanks are punched out too close to the edge or the end of the strip which results in straight clips.

    I am leaning toward clipped planchet. The bottom of the 7 and 1 in the date are weaker than the rest of the digits, and the last "t" in trust looks a bit weaker, as they should with a clip like that.

    Can you post a reverse pic as well?

    Someone tried to fake a clip in my opinion.

    this is a real clip. you can see evidence of the blakesley effect on the obverse at the 71 where it flattens near the rim. the rim is also weak but does not show as well due to the pic being taken at an angle. It also shows on the revers at OF.
