Clip???!!!

I am having a hard time agreeing with a clip. There should be more of a Blakesly effect in my opinion.

 

That's a lot of money for a Incomplete Planchet.. if it is Authentic
Any other pictures from the listing?

But...
I do have a similar Cent in my collection
Attributed by NGC with no Blakesley Effect and the same weird curve to it.. So that coin might be authentic!

Hmmmm...that is what caught my attention, the absence of the Blakesley effect and the irregularity of the clip. Wonder what @Fred Weinberg would have to say about these coins.

 

Interesting. I would have a problem buying one raw unless in high mint state.

 

I have two clipped IHC's and a clipped quarter.

 

Now that is interesting!
