Clay coin-like plaque thing?

    Hello! I'm not sure what this is but it looks like some kinda clay replica of ancient coin. I'm hoping that you gents can tell me who is on the plaque or what coin denomination this would be. (if it were a coin)

    sweet! i thought it looked interesting so i picked it up for 83 cents at the thrift store.
