Classic large cent--flea market find

    I wouldn't recommend going coin shopping at a flea market as 99% of the time all you see is overpriced junk coins. But once in a great while you get lucky and find something nice.
    As anyone that collects classic heads or anyone doing a type set knows, finding nice lower grade examples is a challenge. So when, today, I happened across this one at the flea market, and needing on for my type set, I snatched it up in a heartbeat. Hole filled, happy colector here. :D 1812 1c.JPG 1812 1c rev.JPG

    Very nice Classic Head. This is the 1812 small date, correct?

    Well it wasn't anything like a 10 dollar rip or anything like that. But I got it for what I thought was a very good price. In the VG range.

    I obviously need more coffee this morning. I was studying the pics thinking someone did a great job filling a hole on that coin because I couldn't find it. I then read again and saw you said "hole filled" not "filled hole". Duh. Nice coin.
