So, its been about a year since I got a loupe. I've found a few cent and half dollar doubled die varieties, and you might say I'm hooked. Since Rosies are common in every date and mm, my Whitman album has long been completed. My only motivation to search dimes was the occasional .900 or an upgrade piece for my circ album. I've made it a challenge this year to find the six major clad vaieties 67 DDO, 68 DDO, 69D/D, 70 DDR, 70D DDR, and 82 No 'P'. Plus, I'll still have the bonus of the occasional upgrade piece or silver My question is this, how easy/hard are these to find in circulation?

I don't know. I have found the 1970-D DDR, but I haven't searched a ton of rolls, like I do with cents. Just a hand full of rolls, here and there.

How many rolls have you already searched to complete the rest of your collection? Did you check all of those for the varieties, or is this now an afterthought?

I don't know how many rolls I searched over the years to complete the folder, it wasn't too many. The 68D was the last hole for some reason. I didn't search for the varieties along the way, and none in the album qualify. I'm starting from scratch...This year I'm keeping track, as far as dimes this year, I've searched One box +12 rolls. I've found 3×0.90 and a nice MS Proof S, but no varieties.

Are you searching for all clad varieties? The CPG also mentions several you haven't mentioned......"No S" Proofs, Reverse of '68, etc.

I was thinking about trying to find in the next year, the six major varieties (that NGC will attribute) that could be found on circulating clad issues. Course, I might look up and keep an eye open for more of the minor varieties as well...

I also found (4) 1983 D/D in my first box. (2) are strong, the other (2) would need to be verified under stronger magnification. These must be fairly common (?) Though, the variety does not appear on the. NGC list.

Due to the relative strength of my 2nd full box, I'm upping the stakes to include five minor variety RPMs. This box yielded (1) 1964 D, (2) 1983 D/D, (1) 1970 D DDR, (1) 1967 DDO! Who wants to join the challenge, Pull 6 Major variety and 5 Minor Variety Roosevelt dimes from circulation in 2015? You know you want to...
