I would like to know if the proofs contained in the Prestige and American Legacy sets are Clad or Silver??

To the best of my knowledge, it was never brought out in the Mint's descriptions!!! I've heard some of the

Half Dollar commems are UNC also!!

It's my understanding that the coins in the Prestige and American Legacy are silver.

The standard coins in the Prestige sets were clad. Only the commem included in each set was silver.

With the Clad coins you get 2 metals for the price of one!

There were also 50c commems in many of these sets and most of these are cu/ ni clad.

All the $1 coins in these sets are 90% silver.
