Why not stretch for one of the Fuld guides?

There is also supposed to be an overview chapter in the 2nd Edition Mega Redbook (2017).

I think just about everyone that collects CWT uses the Fuld numbers. If I remember correctly Bowers renumbered everything in his book. So you have a nice book with catalog numbers that no one uses. There may be a cross reference in the book but it would still be a bother.

Fuld is THE book if you are serious about collecting these beauties.

That looks like an older version (maybe 1st edition?). The concept is more or less the same, but don't be surprised if some numbers have changed. The 3rd edition is the current one (White Cover).

The 2nd edition of the Whitman book is worth owning just for the introduction sections alone. Bowers book uses the new "unified" five digit die numbers, but he didn't other telling readers what they were.

The Fuld 3'd edition of the Store Card book also uses the new die numbers and the 6th edition of the Patriotic Tokens book, due out soon, will also use the new numbers.

So today your best choices are the 2nd edition of the Bowers book for an overview and the Fuld 3'd edition Store Card book.

Plus you can bid on the CWTS auctions which have some neat stuff.
