I have been wanting to get a 1995 2-coin Civil War commemorative set but can't mke up my mind on which to get. I really like the set and I think it has good future potential. As far as future investment purposes which would be the wiser purchase, the Proof or UNC set? If its not too much to ask for, I have only seen the sets in photos (not good ones at that) and I was wondering if anyone could post good comparison photos or just your opinions if you are familiar with both sets? I like both (no I'm not going to buy both) and I just can't make up my mind, so I thought I would see what the majority has to say. Thanks for any help.
If it were me - I'd go for the gold in Proof & Unc But for the silver versions - the Unc had lower mintages and typically the Uncs tend to appreciate more. But having owned both - the Proofs look better. So it's kind of a personal preference.
Thanks. I seem to favor the proof sets also. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference in the current values so it seems the future will be good to both I think.
