I was just wondering how many here were planning on going to CICF this April. I was trying to make plans, and if some of us wanted to get together it would be good to know what days everyone was planning to be there. Chris

Chicago International Coin Fair, the biggest world and ancient show in the midwest, one the the biggest in the nation. It is April 14-17th 2011 in Chicago.
how about we all make a pledge to meet at the york coin fair in 2013? i mean you can visit the jewel in the crown of british history in the ancient city of york, and attend one of the worlds leading coin fairs as well..................how many are interested???????? i must be cracking up, a devout lancastrian extolling the virtues of york..............lol lol lol
by Cicf chris do you mean the chicago international coin fair?? i attended the chicago fair 4 years ago and was faced with regimented rows of plastice encased coins and left with around £1000 worth of what you guys call raw coins which to me were better than the clinical plastic holders.
Yes, they are a cancer that has already grown deep in world coins here, and tries to spread to ancients. Sorry you had to see that mate. I do my part by cracking out and freeing what I can, I only keep one slab, that of a misattributed and misdated Roman that most collectors in a month learns how to attribute. It makes me laugh.
I would if I could man. I know many on this board are nowhere near Chicago, I was just hoping a few of us were close enough to attend and meet up somewhere.
