So my good collecting friend @schepys_coins and I went to the coin store last week and he bought from the dealer a 2002 ASE (my birth year). He told me its my Christmas gift. That kid should learn that I'm supposed to be surprised about my gift.

What coin related funny Christmas stories do you have?

Hmmm.... Funny coin/Christmas story?.... Well, Santa likes to fill kids & grandkids stockings. As each layer of stocking goodies comes out there tends to be a few dollar bills intermingled with the goodies. And in the toes of the stockings Santa always leaves golden dollars and half dollars. It is Santa's "funny money".... The funny part is that the kids always keep the three or four dollar bills and leave the ten bucks of funny money in the toes of the stockings. So, Santa gets to re-use the funny money. Currently it is year three for most of the halves and golden dollars.
