WTS: Christmas ancient coins

    It is Christmas. The first Roman coins with Christian symbols occur in the fourth century. Here are two important early types:

    Large 26-25 mm. The first Christian type! (but not the first type with a Christian symbol)
    Large chi-rho, alpha and omega
    RIC VIII Trier 318
    Nice green patina. Good portrait with most legend. [$119]

    Constantine II with bold cross low in field--This is only at Aquileia and one of the first uses of a Christian cross on coins. 334-335 AD.
