I found this in a roll, and it was so nasty that I thought about just spending it. But I soaked it for a couple of days, and it turned out OK.
As many of you know, my collections are made up of coins I found in circulation. The photos below show the 1956 P Jefferson from my collection on the left, and the one I just found by CRH on the right. I'm tempted to switch them out and put the more recent one in my collection. Any thoughts from my friends out there?
Thanks, that is exactly what my wife said. And, as far as I am concerned, it was found in circulation.
Not a big difference in the price, if any at all but I would put the one you just found in my album as it had a lot more detail. I would wait to see if anything would come back to haunt you, like toning or spreading of a disease or something.
I'm with @expat on it. While the reverse details aren't all that good on either coin, the obverse shows more details on the new coin, in my opinion.
