chip this out

    Found this in a roll I was going through. I'm calling it a chip Unless anyone has a better identification for it.
    Open to anyones thoughts of the type of error it is.

    Looks like a doubled Mexican coin. Doesn't look like strike doubling from the pictures. Someone correct me or say that I'm right. I know near nothing about this type error. I'll leave it at, I am in no way sure.

    Looks like a new mexico state quarter with die doubling(i'm no expert though)...excuse my ignorance, but what's a "chip"?

    Sorry it is the extra metal below to the right of the two obve the design, Its a new mexico state quarter. This is the full back of quarter. Sorry for late reply slow typer.

    I would call it a die chip. Interesting but normally no added value.

    No extra value needed goes into state error collection. I appreciate all comments. I figured it was just a chip just wanted to confirm so I correctly label the sleeve. I wish it was a double or something super cool.
