I found these just the other day and I thought they were very interesting looking. Of course I have always been fascinated by unicorns, its the chick in me I suspect. Anyway, I tried to find out information on them but didn't find much other than they were made from 94-97. I was wondering if they are rare. They seem to be expensive. Can anyone give me some info on them. Thanks so much. :smile
I don't mean to sound dumb, but its going to sound dumb. Why is China hot right now? Just wondering. Thanks
The Chinese have money... lots of people over there are doing very well. They are currently looking to repatriate a lot of their coins and collectibles that were sold overseas. Basically the Chinese people are causing a high demand by buying their own coins back.
Oh. Ok. Thanks for the info I see there is the 5 Yuan and the 10 Yuan. I think the difference is the 10 is 1 troy ounce of silver. Is this correct?
This website has a lot of information regarding Chinese minted coinage. The forum especially has a lot of information, if you dig a little. http://china-mint.info/ If you check out 1994-97, you'll see that you are correct about the silver content - 10Y is 1oz, 5Y is 20g.
